Granbury MCJROTC defeats Piedra Vista AJROTC

Top seed Granbury MCJROTC defeated Piedra Vista AJROTC 2322 to 1474 last week in the National Air Rifle League Championship Tournament. Granbury MCJROTC will advance and take on Rio Saldo Sportsman's Club next week.

Granbury improves their overall record to 8 - 0 this season. In their first round game Granbury MCJROTC was led by, Allison Henry who shot a 592. The remaining contributing members were Philip Becker, M'Leah Lambdin, Makenize Sheffield, and Clarissa Layland. Granbury MCJROTC is from Granbury, TX, and is coached by LtCol Scott Casey.

Piedra Vista AJROTC finished the season with a 5 - 3 record including a third place finish in the JROTC Conference. Piedra Vista AJROTC was led by, Amoret Mccartney who shot a 390. The remaining contributing members were Jordan Harris, Malea Scott, Shaylee Charley, and Zachary Toney. Piedra Vista AJROTC is from Farmington, NM, and is coached by David Naber.
